I was looking for more.
I have placed my physical and mental energies into an exciting blend of both traditional and non-traditional healing arts.
I held a masters degree in social work, yet began to feel there had to be something more I could offer to truly empower people. After graduating from a nursing program, I began my nursing on the Pine Ridge Oglala Reservation where I underwent a spiritual awakening.
I became attune to the profound sense of the soul, the earth, herbal medicine, animals, signs, the seasons, the moon times, medicine bags, the directions and how we touch each other’s heart. I owe this awakening to Eagle Man, Shaman of the Oglala Sioux Nation, who helped me discover the work I was to do, both on and off the reservation.
After leaving the reservation, I studied more traditional and non-traditional medicine. With this combination of wisdom, I now walk with a sense of being, able to hold sacred space whether it is in the classroom, or providing a treatment, playing with essential oils, or speaking of the great gifts Mother Earth has given to us all.
My training includes:
• Masters in Social Work, from University of WI, Madison WI
• Registered Nursing Degree at St. Catherines of St Paul MN
• 500 Hour Certification in Massage – Massage School of Minneapolis, MN.
• Herbalist Certification – Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, Scottsdale, AZ
• Polarity and Cranialsacral RPP – Polarity Healing Arts of California, Topanga, CA
• 200 hr Cranialsacral Certification- Healing Arts, Connection, Phoenix, AZ
• Nada Detox Certification – Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, Scottsdale, AZ
• Master Essential Oils Certification- Wisdom of the Earth, Cornville, AZ
• Reiki Master Teacher for Usui and Karuna -AZ
• Munay Ki Rites- Prescott, AZ
